About This Treatment
Some of the most impactful results come from what you layer on top of — or pair alongside — your core treatments. Celluma LED Light Therapy and Dermaplaning are two of the most versatile enhancements available at The Skin Cliniq, each powerful on their own and even more effective when combined with your existing treatment plan. Celluma uses clinically proven wavelengths of light to accelerate healing, reduce inflammation, and target acne-causing bacteria. Dermaplaning delivers instant exfoliation — removing accumulated dead skin cells and vellus hair with a sterile surgical blade, leaving skin noticeably smoother and more receptive to everything that follows.
Key Benefits
Featured Treatment
Celluma is an FDA-cleared, Class II medical-grade LED device that simultaneously delivers three clinically proven wavelengths of light — targeting acne, inflammation, and collagen production in a single comfortable session. Its flexible panel conforms to the contours of your face for consistent, direct light contact. Used as a standalone treatment or layered after microneedling, peels, or laser, Celluma accelerates your skin's repair response and amplifies the results you're already achieving.

Featured Treatment
Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical scalpel blade held at a precise angle to gently remove the outermost layer of accumulated dead skin cells along with vellus facial hair. The result is immediately visible: skin that looks brighter, feels smoother, and absorbs serums and moisturizers far more effectively. It's one of the most satisfying treatments in aesthetics — entirely physical, no chemistry, no downtime — and an ideal preparation for Aquafirme XS, chemical peels, or any treatment where serum penetration matters.
The Process
01
Sally recommends enhancements based on your current treatment plan and goals. LED is particularly valuable after microneedling, peels, and laser — accelerating healing and amplifying results. Dermaplaning works well as a standalone or prior to a facial or peel to maximize penetration.
02
Both treatments are performed on clean, prepped skin. For dermaplaning, skin is thoroughly cleansed and assessed before the blade is applied. For LED, protective eyewear is provided and the panel is positioned over the treatment area.
03
Celluma LED sessions run approximately 30 minutes — you relax while the flexible panel delivers targeted light energy. Dermaplaning takes 20–30 minutes; you'll feel a light feathering sensation as the blade glides across the skin surface.
04
Both enhancements have zero downtime. After dermaplaning, sun protection is important as freshly exfoliated skin is more sensitive to UV. After LED, your skin may appear slightly flushed — this resolves within minutes. You can return to your day immediately.

Yes — Celluma LED pairs well with nearly every treatment offered at The Skin Cliniq. It's especially beneficial after microneedling, chemical peels, and laser sessions to accelerate healing, reduce post-treatment redness, and amplify the collagen response. Sally can build it into your appointment at any visit.
Celluma uses three clinically proven wavelengths of light — blue (465nm), red (640nm), and near-infrared (880nm) — delivered simultaneously. Blue light targets and destroys acne-causing bacteria. Red light stimulates collagen and elastin production while reducing inflammation. Near-infrared penetrates deeper to support cellular repair and further reduce inflammation. The result is faster healing, clearer skin, and improved collagen support — without any downtime.
No — this is one of the most common myths about dermaplaning. Vellus hair (peach fuzz) is structurally different from terminal hair. Removing it with a surgical blade does not alter the follicle or change the hair's thickness, color, or growth rate. It grows back exactly as it was before.
Most clients benefit from dermaplaning every 3–4 weeks — which corresponds to the natural skin cell turnover cycle. It pairs particularly well as a monthly maintenance treatment or before a chemical peel or Aquafirme XS session to maximize serum penetration and product absorption.
Active breakouts are a contraindication for dermaplaning — the blade can spread bacteria and cause irritation over inflamed skin. If acne is a concern, Sally may recommend LED light therapy or Face Reality Acne Bootcamp instead, and can assess when dermaplaning would be appropriate for your skin.
