Results settle in about two weeks and last three to four months. Here is the 2026 booking timeline for Thanksgiving and December photos in Loveland.

Every fall, the same question comes into the clinic in Loveland around the second week of September: if I want to look rested for Thanksgiving and the December parties, when do I need to book? For most patients, October. The exact week depends on whether you have had neuromodulators before, which lines you want softened, and how much margin you want for a touch-up.
Book your treatment 3 to 4 weeks before the first event you care about. Neuromodulators such as Dysport and Jeuveau begin relaxing the treated muscle within a few days, and the full effect settles in over roughly two weeks. That two-week mark is also when we see every new patient for a follow-up, so if one area needs a small adjustment, there is still time for it to take hold before you are in front of a camera.
For 2026, that timeline looks like this:
If you have a wedding, a reunion, or a family photo session earlier in the fall, count back 3 to 4 weeks from that date instead and let the holidays ride on the same treatment.
Because you would be showing up mid-change. In the first several days after treatment the muscle is still partially active, so lines are softening but not settled. Some patients also have a small bruise or a pinpoint of redness at an injection site for a day or two. With a month of lead time, none of that matters. The night before a dinner where you are in every photo, it does.
The other reason is the adjustment visit. New patients at The Skin Cliniq are seen at two weeks so Sally can assess how the dose landed. Our philosophy is enhancement over alteration, which often means starting a first-time patient conservatively and adding a few units at follow-up rather than over-treating on day one. A last-minute appointment removes that second step.
Most patients hold their result for about three to four months, though duration varies from person to person. Metabolism, muscle strength, the area treated, and how expressive you are all shift the number. Patients with strong forehead or frown-line muscles sometimes see movement return closer to three months; patients on a steady maintenance schedule often find results last longer over time because the muscle is not rebuilding to full strength between visits.
What this means for planning: a late October or early November treatment carries most people through the holidays and into late January or February. Then the next appointment sets you up for spring.
The frown lines between the brows, the forehead, and crow's feet. These are the three dynamic areas we treat most, and they are the ones a camera flash catches. Frown lines (the 11s) read as tired or stern even when you feel neither. Forehead creases deepen every time you raise your brows to smile for a photo. Crow's feet show up in every genuine laugh. Softening them while keeping the movement is what makes the result look rested instead of frozen.
Sally also offers a brow lift with neuromodulators, which uses a small number of units to let the brow sit slightly higher and open the eye. For holiday photos, it is often the subtlest and most noticed change.
Start earlier and plan on two visits. If you have never had neuromodulators, we recommend booking your consultation in late September or the first half of October. That gives you the Aura 3D skin analysis, a conversation about which lines bother you, and a first treatment with enough runway for the two-week follow-up before your first event.
The Aura 3D scan maps wrinkles, texture, pores, and redness at a baseline, so when you come back in two weeks and again next season, we are comparing images rather than memories. It also tells us whether a line is dynamic (caused by muscle movement, which neuromodulators address) or static (etched into the skin at rest, which may need a different approach such as microneedling or the Nouvaderm laser). That distinction shapes the plan before the first injection.
Keep your skin calm and hydrated, and protect the result you paid for.
Yes, and the order matters. Neuromodulators go first, 3 to 4 weeks out, so the result is settled. A SkinCeuticals dermaplane facial fits in the final week before an event, since it removes dead surface skin and fine facial hair and leaves skin smooth for makeup the same day. Longer projects need a longer runway: IPL for summer sunspots works best in fall while skin is out of the sun, and a microneedling series is spaced 4 to 6 weeks between sessions, so a September start puts the first visible change around Thanksgiving rather than before it. At your consultation Sally will sequence the treatments around your calendar so nothing lands too close to a date that matters.
Yes, and it fills from the back. The three weeks before Thanksgiving and the two weeks before Christmas are the appointments that go first, because everyone counts backward from the same dates. Booking in September or early October means you choose your slot rather than taking what is left, and it means a first-time patient can fit the consultation, treatment, and follow-up in without compressing any of them.
The Skin Cliniq is at 113 Karl Brown Way in historic downtown Loveland, and Sally brings more than 25 years of clinical nursing experience to every injection. If you want to look like a well-rested version of yourself in this year's holiday photos, schedule a consultation now and we will set the dates from there.
